The best iPad recipe manager ! All it needs is a web version so that I can enter my existing recipes and add new ones. Its a little tedious having to do it all on the iPad.

Very easy to use. Seems to import from a lot of websites and the ones it doesnt support still very easy to copy the instructions into the app. The only thing that it doesnt do that I would like to save recipes to specific category.
Legit the best recipe app on the app store
This a great app. Includes the ability to sort, import from web, add your own recipes and photos. Cant believe no one has rated this app yet.
Awesome app for keeping track of online recipes. I use it all the time on my iPad in the kitchen. This is the first time Ive written a review -- Im amazed more people havent praised this app. Thank you for it.
Everything works great. They did a great job with the ability to connect to other sites. It would be nice if it also synced with the iPhone. I do not think there is an iPhone app but that would be nice. Thank you! Just what I was looking for.
This is the best App for importing and organizing recipes. It works flawlessly.
I really needed to organize my recipes, and this app worked like magic. Very easy to add recipes from the web, make adjustments, or simply add your own. Same goes for pictures and comments. Now I have my recipes in one place, and they are beautifully presented and easy to find. Love it! Im just begging for an iPhone version because it would make it the best recipe organizer out there. I didnt know it didnt have one until too late, so I can only see the recipes on the iPad. One other suggestion: allow for customizable tabs! Thanks!
I love this app! Its very easy to use and I can add the recipes I want from the web. This is my "go to" app for cooking in the kitchen.
The app looks good for the most part and the manual recipe entry is nice which lets you copy test directly from the built-in browser to the proper category such as ingredients, instructions, etc. Some suggestions to make this the best recipe manager would be: automatically quantify the ingredients list so that the app can implement an adjustment for serving sizes. The ingredients list can be laid out better; a long item just wraps the text into the next line with no indentation or other cue to whether the line is an ingredient item or just a continuation of one item. The numbers for each instruction should be aligned to the top instead of vertically centered. In the Cook view mode, the text should be formatted better. As is, it just looks like its displaying text in Windows Notepad.. Scrolling up and down to view each step currently jumps immediately to the next step. It would be nicer to add some transition such as swiping for better presentation.
Im not a professional chef, nor do I typically leave reviews, but this app was precisely what I hoped for prior to downloading it. The best feature is the Import from Web functionality, which opens a browser window within the app to pull information directly from any web page into sections like Ingredients and Directions. Once imported, the ability to sort recipes by tag or ingredient is useful. I also like the ability to toggle the Cook mode, which strips away all other functionality and allows users to focus on the necessary information at hand - Ingredients and Directions. From what I can tell, their development team is working on a Shopping List feature. This would be super useful, though Id almost rather see the app integrate with existing list apps (like AnyList) rather than develop something custom.
I collect a lot of recipes and have tried lots of managers. This one works the easiest I have found. I can surf web or find one on Pinterest, simply click thru, then open up zest and click, click, click. I have another recipe, complete with picture and can add notes etc. if you go to a website they are linked with its even easier. Not perfect yet, but they seem to be working in that direction.
I loved Zest, and then it went bonkers. All of a sudden, when I click the tab to import recipes from the internet, it takes me to a food blog from which I once added a recipe. So, I can no longer use it to search for or import recipes. This is just stupid and infuriating, because there is no way to find out how to reset it to the search page.
So beautiful and displays recipes perfectly. So easy to use. I use this every time I cook. LOVE IT!!
I LOVE this app. Cant wait to get an iPhone app and be able to sync between my devices. Have already downloaded lots of recipes and manually added others. My husband is also using it and I have recommended to to EVERYONE I know with an iPad
I just installed Zest on my iPad and already love it. The import feature works great and terrific that you can add your own images to each recipe. The tags feature is handy too to categorize your recipes.
Update to my original review: Ive been using Zest for a little while now and still love it. I really love the simple and elegant interface. I havent used the cloud yet so I cant report on its implementation. One feature I would love to see would be a way to organize my recipes. Now that I have entered a number of them Id like to be able to sort them, by category maybe. Dinners, soups, desserts etc. it would make it easier to find what Im looking for. Looking forward to more updates :-) Original review: Ive been searching for a recipe app for a while. I decided to try Zest and so far I love it. Its easy enough to use. Ive both imported recipes and added them manually. And I really love the interface. Nice and clean.
This app is fully functional, aesthetically pleasing, and a life saver for people like me who are constantly trying to remember where I found that great recipe for ______. Organizes recipes in one place, imports them from your favorite sites and really helps you when youre cooking by not going into black screen mode ( you know what Im talking about!). Anyway. Love this app. Keep up the good work Zesters!
No more writing down recipes I find on the web. This app is amazing! I love it. Thank you!! Easy to use too.
I dont usually write reviews for apps, but I thought this one deserved it! I just downloaded it and so far I love it. Its really easy to use, whether youre manually entering a recipe or youre importing them from a website. Its soooo easy to navigate and I love how it is laid out. Really great features and graphics too. Two thumbs up in my book!
